Civic alert: Water supply disruption in Hyderabad today
Hyderabad: Brace up for disruption of drinking water supply in parts of Hyderabad on Thursday. According to a press note by Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), drinking water supply will be disrupted due to a huge leakage developed in a 300mm dia-air valve stem at Devatpalli in Krishna Drinking Water Supply Phase-1 which supplies drinking water to the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderbad.
The officials said repair works are being carried out to fix the leakage and it is expected to be complete by the afternoon. Residents of following areas will experience disruption in water supply and they have been advised to use the water sparingly.
1. O&M Division – 1: Miralam, Kishanbagh, Al Jubail Colony, Balishetti Khet.
2. O&M Division – 2(A): Santosh Nagar, Vinay Nagar, Saidabad, Chanchalguda, Asmangarh, Yakutpura, Madannapet, Mahboob Mansion.
3. O&M Division – 2(B): Riyasat Nagar, Aliabad.
4. O&M Division – 4: Boggulkunta, Afzalganj.
5. O&M Division – 5: Narayanguda, Adikmet, Shivam Road, Nallakunta, Chilkalguda.
6. O&M Division – 10(A): Dilsukhnagar area.
7. O&M Division – 20: Bonguluru.
8. O&M Division – 22: Manneguda.
