Traffic diversions on Chatrinaka–Kandikal Gate stretch from July 1
HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced traffic diversions on the stretch between OP Chatrinaka and the starting point of the Kandikal Gate flyover to facilitate cement concrete (CC) road construction.
The road works will cover a stretch of about 225 metres and will begin on July 1, 2026. The diversions will remain in force until the works are completed.
The affected stretch is a major route connecting Chatrinaka with the Chandrayangutta flyover via the Old Gutta Crossroads.
Diversions in force at key junctions
All vehicles travelling from Nallavagu Graveyard towards the Kandikal Gate flyover will be diverted towards Old Gutta at the Nallavagu Graveyard U-turn.
Motorists travelling from Lal Darwaza towards OP Chatrinaka will be diverted towards Engine Bowli at Baba Barlane.
Vehicles coming from Gowlipura towards OP Chatrinaka will be diverted towards Lal Darwaza at OP Chatrinaka.
Vehicles from Uppuguda heading towards OP Chatrinaka will not be allowed. They will be diverted towards Gowlipura at the Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple.
Police seek public cooperation
The Hyderabad Traffic Police have advised commuters to plan their journeys in advance, use alternative routes wherever possible, and avoid the affected stretch to minimise inconvenience.
