Hyderabad traffic advisory for Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu celebrations on December 9

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory for “Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu” celebrations on December 9, 2024, which include the unveiling of the Telangana Thalli statue and a carnival on NTR Marg. The advisory comes into effect from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., during which key areas around the event will be closed to regular traffic.

Traffic Restrictions:

• The roads from Buddha Bhavan to Imax Rotary, VV Statue to TG Secretariat Junction, and Mint Lane to Imax Rotary will remain closed to general traffic during the specified hours.

Traffic Diversions:

1. Buddha Bhavan: Vehicles from Buddha Bhavan will not be allowed to move towards PVNR Marg.
2. Nallagutta X Roads: Traffic from Minister Road will be diverted towards Ranigunj.
3. VV Statue (Khairatabad): Traffic from Panjagutta and Raj Bhavan will be redirected towards Shadan College and Lakdikapool.
4. Iqbal Minar: Traffic from TG Secretariat In. to Old PS Saifabad will be diverted towards Ravindra Bharathi. Traffic from Ravindra Bharathi will be diverted onto the TG Secretariat Flyover.
5. South East Junction: Vehicles traveling from Iqbal Minar and TG Secretariat to Necklace Rotary will be diverted towards Ambedkar Statue and Tankbund.
6. TG Secretariat Junction: Traffic from Ambedkar Statue will be diverted towards Iqbal Minar.
7. Printing Press: Traffic from Khairatabad Bada Ganesh will be diverted towards Mint Compound Lane.
8. Mint Lane Entrance: Traffic from Iqbal Minar to Mint Lane will be diverted towards TG Secretariat Junction.

• Open Area, Opposite Prasad Imax Theatre

• Snow World
• One side of Khairatabad Flyover

Areas to Avoid: The public is advised to avoid the following areas, where heavy traffic congestion is expected: Buddha Bhavan; Nallagutta X Roads; VV Statue; Iqbal Minar; TG Secretariat Junction; Printing Press Junction; Old PS Saifabad; Ravindra Bharathi; Kattamaisamma Junction; Old Ambedkar Statue; Liberty Junction.
