Thunderstorms likely across central Hyderabad; residents advised to stay alert

HYDERABAD: Scattered intense thunderstorms and rain are expected to affect parts of central Hyderabad over the next hour, according to a weather alert issued at 15.45 IST on Thursday.
The alert said areas including Khairatabad, Jubilee Hills, Ameerpet, Yousufguda, Begumpet and Panjagutta could witness thunderstorm activity and rainfall.
Weather watchers warned residents to prepare for adverse weather conditions and plan travel accordingly.
The alert further indicated that additional thunderstorms are likely to develop across the city after 16.30 IST, raising the possibility of continued wet weather through the evening.
Authorities have advised people to remain alert and monitor local weather updates.
