Thunderstorms, hail and 45 kmph winds likely across Telangana on March 16
HYDERABAD: Hyderabad may witness scattered moderate to intense thunderstorms on March 16. Weather activity is likely to begin after 16:00 IST and continue into the night.
Weather observers have advised residents to stay cautious. Sudden rain, lightning and strong winds may disrupt normal activities across the city.
Several districts likely to see thunderstorms
Apart from Hyderabad, several districts across Telangana may experience unseasonal weather during the afternoon and night.
Scattered intense thunderstorms are likely in Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Medak, Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Siddipet, Rajanna Sircilla, Jangaon, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Mulugu, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mancherial, Komaram Bheem Asifabad and Bhadradri Kothagudem.
Isolated intense thunderstorms may also occur in Karimnagar, Hanamkonda, Warangal and Peddapalli.
Gusty winds and hail possible
Strong winds may reach speeds of up to 45 kmph in several areas. Hailstorms may also occur at a few places.
These weather conditions may damage crops, vehicles and temporary structures. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions.
