Youth died while doing bike stunt for a reel in Hayathnagar

Hayathnagar: In a tragic bike accident, a youngster died and another sustained life threatening injuries while doing bike stunts allegedly for social media reels. The incident took place under the Hayathnagar police station limits on Saturday. The video where the duo were doing bike stunts has also gone viral on social media, where two people can be seen on a bike, while the rider is seen attempting to ride on a single wheel on a moist road and on a rainy road.

According to the Hyath Nagar police on Saturday evening near Pedda Amberpet, while two youths on a bike were doing stunts for reels on the national highway in the rain. The youngsters lost control of the bike and fell down leading to the death of Shiva and leaving another pillion rider seriously injured. He was taken to a local hospital and is being treated.

Hyath nagar police of Rachakonda commissionerate booked a case and started investigation. The story would be updated with more details as the officials reveal.

Recent incidents of Social media accidents

In recent times, there are also other instances of injuries and deaths of users, while they were doing content on social media platforms.

In a recent and tragic case, another 27 year old travel influencer, Aanvi Kamdar died after falling into a 300 feet gorge, while she was shooting a travel video at the Kumbhe waterfall in the state of Maharashtra. Her fall was also recorded on social media and the reel went viral. Following which, the travel community has also called for the safety protocols in place in order to avoid such unfortunate incidents in future.

Meanwhile, in Telangana, another 23 year old youth died while he was enacting a ‘suicide’ for social media reels, as per the reports. The incident took place in Kadathal area of the Narsampet Mandal in the Warangal district of Telangana.
