Hyderabad weather update: Cooling temperatures ahead, But Summer looms

HYDERABAD: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said a low-pressure area is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal, leading to rainfall in Telangana over the next few days.

The department said moderate to heavy rain is expected between September 21 and September 24 due to changing weather conditions. Hailstorms are likely in several parts of the state for three days.

On September 22, rainfall intensity may be higher in north and east Telangana districts. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are also expected.

The IMD said heavy rain is likely in Hyderabad as well. It advised residents to follow weather warnings issued till the end of the month and take precautions.

Day temperatures likely to increase

The department said maximum temperatures are currently hovering around 35°C in Telangana. Though night and early morning conditions remain slightly cool, the chill has largely receded.

After the rainfall spell, temperatures may rise further towards the end of the month. The IMD has advised people to avoid exposure during peak afternoon hours and take necessary precautions.
