Hyderabad sees rising temperatures amid Telangana heatwave

HYDERABAD: Summer conditions have intensified across Telangana, with maximum temperatures rising sharply and heat levels increasing across regions.
The heatwave began in the last week of March and reached peak intensity by the first week of April. Despite intermittent rainfall triggered by a surface circulation and trough over the Bay of Bengal, there has been little relief from daytime heat.
Heat persists despite light rainfall
Scattered light showers in the evenings have not eased humidity levels. Daytime conditions remain harsh, with hot winds and high temperatures affecting normal activity.
The Hyderabad Meteorological Department said temperatures are likely to rise further in the coming days. Most areas are recording high maximum temperatures, and residents are finding it difficult to step out even after 10 am.
Temperatures likely to reach 40°C
Officials warned that temperatures in Telangana could reach around 40°C. People have been advised to take precautions against heat exposure as hot winds continue and there is no significant drop in temperature.
