Narayana School student found dead in Hayathnagar

Hyderabad: A young student was reportedly found dead in his hostel room at a Narayana School under Hayathnagar police station limits on December 17, 2024.
According to the reports, the deceased has been identified as Lohith, a class seven student. Lohith’s family alleges that the tragic incident was a result of harassment by school staff. Parents have protested, demanding a thorough investigation and accountability from the school management.

In another incident, a 17-year-old intermediate student, Kaushik Raghav, was found dead by ending his life in his hostel room at Sri Chaitanya Junior College in Miyapur. Parents and student union leaders staged a protest, accusing the college management of delaying in informing them about the incident. The Miyapur police have registered a case.
Pawan, the state president of Telangana Vidyarthi Shakti Sangam, alleged that students at Sri Chaitanya are subjected to immense academic pressure and mental harassment, driving some to take extreme steps. He demanded strict action against the college management.
Earlier, a first-year intermediate student, Anusha, was found dead by suicide in her hostel room at Narayana College in Bachupally. Anusha’s parents alleged that she was harassed by college staff and blamed them for her death. They are protesting outside the college demanding justice. The Bachupally police have registered a case.
