HYDERABAD: STF seizes 73 liquor bottles in raids
Hyderabad: Excise Special Task Force (STF) teams seized 73 non-duty paid liquor bottles during vehicle checks at two locations in Hyderabad.
30 bottles seized near Shamshabad
An STF team led by CI Venkateshwarlu and SI Manju conducted vehicle inspections on Shamshabad Road following inputs that non-duty paid liquor was being transported from Delhi, Goa, Haryana and other places via the airport.
During the checks, officials seized 30 bottles of non-duty paid liquor and handed them over to the Shamshabad excise station.
43 bottles seized at Pahadi Shareef
Another STF team led by CI Nagaraju conducted vehicle checks in the Pahadi Shareef area.
Officials seized 43 bottles of non-duty paid liquor during the inspections. Inquiry revealed that the liquor was brought by air from Delhi, Goa and other regions.
The seized bottles were handed over to the Meerpet excise station, Nagaraju said.
