Hyderabad STF Seizes 35 Liquor Bottles
HYDERABAD: The Special Task Force (STF) seized 35 non-duty paid liquor bottles that were brought to Telangana by flight from Delhi and Goa, officials said.
The STF D Team, led by Circle Inspector Nagaraju, intercepted the consignment during vehicle checks at Pahad Sharif. The bottles were found during routine inspections of vehicles passing through the area.
Officials said transporting non-duty paid liquor into the state without authorisation violates excise regulations. The bottles were seized on the spot.
Nagaraju said the seized liquor was handed over to the Meerpet excise station for further investigation and necessary action under the Excise Act.
Further inquiry is under way to identify those involved in transporting the liquor, officials added.
