Hyderabad STF Seizes 1.5 kg Ganja
HYDERABAD:Â The Special Task Force (STF) seized 1.5 kg of ganja in the Hussain Sagar area near the Salar Jung Museum following a tip-off about drug sales.
An STF A Team led by Anji Reddy conducted searches and recovered the contraband. Three knives were also seized from the spot.
Gang rivalry led to weapon use
Excise officials initiated an inquiry after the knives were found along with the ganja. Police said Sabaash Khan runs the gang.
During questioning, the accused told police they carried knives due to rivalries with other gangs.
Case registered at Charminar Excise Station
Police registered a case after receiving information about the weapons.
Sabaash Khan, Syed Mahboob Ali and Mohammad Numan were arrested in the case.
Police also booked Atlu Shaik, Sameer, Sayab, Arjeez, Majeed and Alok. The accused were handed over to the Charminar Excise police station along with the seized ganja.
