SR Nagar man cheats colleagues of ₹1.94 crore

HYDERABAD: A case of cheating under the pretext of a dairy business has come to light in SR Nagar, where a man allegedly collected ₹1.94 crore from colleagues and fled.
According to police, Pulukuri Lathish Kumar, a resident of SR Nagar, works at Ductus Data Services Private Limited. His colleague Bhanu Chander Muvvala approached him in October 2024, claiming he was starting a dairy business and promised high returns on investment.
Accused lures coworkers with dairy business investment promise
Believing him, Lathish Kumar invested ₹24 lakh in instalments. The accused reportedly persuaded several other colleagues and collected money from them as well.
Stops attending office, switches off phone after complaints
In September 2025, when investors sought repayment, Bhanu Chander cited health issues and asked for more time. From December 24, he stopped attending office, switched off his phone and went on the run.
Following this, the victim lodged a complaint with the police. A case has been registered and further inquiry is underway.
