Hyderabad social media influencer killed; wife’s sister, two others accused of murder
HYDERABAD: A social media influencer from Hyderabad was allegedly murdered by his wife’s younger sister and two of her associates following a family dispute, police said.
The victim, identified as Chand Masood of Pathbasti, had married Ruksana, a resident of Patedarwaja in the Golconda area. According to preliminary information, Ruksana had been staying at her parents’ house after alleging that her husband frequently quarrelled with and harassed her.
Police said Chand Masood allegedly went to his wife’s parental home and was involved in another argument with her. During the confrontation, Ruksana’s younger sister, Soyala, allegedly accused him of repeatedly troubling her elder sister.
Accused allegedly attacked victim with knives
Investigators said the argument escalated, following which Soyala, along with two associates identified as Jabir and Appu, allegedly attacked Chand Masood with knives. He sustained severe injuries and died.
Police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident. A case has been registered, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest the accused.
Officials said further investigation is in progress.
