HYDERABAD: A bomb threat was emailed to the customer support centre of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad on Tuesday.

Mail claims bomb on London–Hyderabad flight

Airport officials said the sender claimed that a London–Hyderabad flight was carrying an explosive device. The aircraft landed safely at 5.25am.
Central Industrial Security Force personnel conducted checks and found no suspicious objects.

Second threat targets Kuwait–Hyderabad flight

A separate email alleged that a Kuwait–Hyderabad flight also had a bomb on board. The aircraft was diverted and made to land back in Kuwait as a precaution.

RGIA police register case

RGIA police registered a case and opened an inquiry into both threats. Officials said efforts are under way to trace the sender.
