Man assaults bank recovery agent, sets dog on him over Rs. 2L credit card debt in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A recovery agent from RBL Bank was injured on Wednesday, May 15, 2025, in Madhura Nagar after a credit card defaulter allegedly assaulted him and set a dog on him.
According to an FIR registered at the Madhura Nagar Police Station, the incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. when the agent, Koduri Satyanarayana (39), a bank executive from RBL Bank, visited the residence of Nandivardhan Rao Baddepareddy in Jawahar Nagar to recover a credit card bill of Rs 2 lakh.
The complaint states that Satyanarayana initially visited the first floor of the house, where Nandivardhan Rao’s relatives informed him that Nandivardhan was not at home. As he was leaving, Nandivardhan Rao arrived and confronted him, asking who he was. When Satyanarayana identified himself as an RBL Bank representative, Nandivardhan allegedly abused him, slapped him on both cheeks, and threw his Vivo mobile phone to the ground, breaking it.
The FIR further states that Nandivardhan Rao then allegedly pushed his pet dog toward Satyanarayana, which bit him on his left leg. The agent immediately rushed to JJ Hospital for treatment. He later informed his manager, K. Harish, who, along with colleagues Prakash, Javeed, and Praveen, accompanied him to Madhura Nagar Police Station to file a complaint. The case is currently under investigation by Sub-Inspector SNG Avinash Babu.
