Hyderabad Hit by Sudden Rains; Trees Down, Streets Flooded

HYDERABAD: Strong winds and rain lashed several parts of the city on Saturday, disrupting normal life and causing damage. Quthbullapur recorded the highest rainfall at 4 cm, officials said.
Several localities reported damage and waterlogging. Areas including Kukatpally, Bachupally, Alwal and Suchitra saw heavy showers and gusty winds.
Fallen trees blocked roads at 53 locations across the city. Waterlogging at eight spots slowed traffic in some areas.
Teams from the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) and Disaster Response Force (DRF) responded promptly to complaints. They cleared all incidents quickly, officials added.
