HYDERABAD: A five per cent rebate on property tax under the early bird scheme has come into effect.

Three municipal corporations within the Outer Ring Road (ORR) limits launched the scheme on Wednesday. Eligible citizens can avail the benefit by paying their annual property tax before April-end.

State offers incentive for early annual tax payment

The state government is providing this benefit to property owners who clear their annual tax within the first month of the financial year.

In the core urban region, officials have completed arrangements for implementation. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner RV Karnan, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Srujana, and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vinay Krishna Reddy oversaw the preparations.

Multiple payment options made available for taxpayers

Officials said citizens can pay property tax through the MyGHMC mobile app, GHMC, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation websites, Unified Payments Interface (UPI) apps, and citizen service centres.
