Hyderabad police rescue woman sexual assaulted in private bus

Hyderabad Police Rescue Woman

Tarnaka: A woman was sexually assaulted by a bus driver in a running private travel bus on Tuesday. The victim was rescued by the Hyderabad police who booked a case and started investigation.

According to the Osmani university police of Hyderabad commissionerate, the hapless victim was on the way to Pamarru, Andhra pradesh from Nirmal, Telangana. When the bus reached the outskirts of hyderabad, taking advantage of the victim, the accused driver forced himself on her.

The victim called dial 100 to report the incident. After receiving the alert all the police stations in Hyderabad commissionerate were on toes. Subsequently, the private travel bus was intercepted near the Tarnaka fire station under Osmania University police station limits.

“After learning that police were alerted by the woman victim, the suspect named Krishna deboarded the bus at Mettuguda fearing arrest and escaped from the spot. Meanwhile police took another driver who was at the wheels into custody and further investigation underway,” said Osmania university police inspector N Rajender.

Meanwhile police rescued the woman victim and shifted her to Hospital for medical examination.Osmania University Police booked a case and formed special teams to nab the suspect who was on the run.

In another incident Two men allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad, Monday. Speaking with the media, Vanasthalipuram ACP Kasi Reddy said that a female individual, identified as a software engineer from Hyderabad, was the victim of a sexual assault following an evening at Bommarillu Bar & Restaurant. The woman had recently transitioned to a new job and had organized a gathering with her childhood friends. Subsequently, after consuming alcohol, the victim was subjected to sexual assault by the individuals at the Bommarillu Hotel.

One person has been identified as Gowtham Reddy, a childhood friend and classmate of the victim, has been found. Details of the other accused have not yet been discovered, but efforts to locate them are underway with the help of the police.
