V.C. Sajjanar monitors Jubilee Hills byelection via drones

HYDERABAD: City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, inspected the polling process for the Jubilee Hills Assembly byelection from the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) on Tuesday. He reviewed the situation at polling stations using drone cameras.
Drones monitor polling stations in real time
Speaking on the occasion, Sajjanar said polling in the Jubilee Hills byelection was proceeding peacefully. Tight security arrangements had been made to ensure that voters could exercise their franchise freely, he said.
He said around 900 CCTV cameras had been installed to monitor polling stations in real time from the ICCC.
150 drones deployed for election monitoring
Sajjanar said this was the first time in the country that drone technology was being used to oversee the polling process. A total of 150 drone cameras had been deployed following directions from the Election Commission of India, he added.
Appealing to residents of Jubilee Hills, Sajjanar urged every eligible voter to come forward and cast their vote freely.
