Hyderabad Police detain 23 foreigners in Toli Chowki

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad City Police conduct a large scale cordon and search operation in the Toli Chowki police station limits on the night of February 16, 2026.
The operation covers Paramount Colony (Gate Nos. 1 to 4), IAS Colony and Hakimpet Kunta.
250 personnel deployed under DCP supervision
The searches are carried out under the direct supervision of Golconda Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police G Chandramohan. Around 250 police personnel participate in the operation.
Police deploy 10 search parties, seven cut-off parties, five lifting parties and set up two holding points.
23 foreigners detained for visa violations
With assistance from the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), Hyderabad, police identify 23 foreign nationals from different countries who are allegedly staying illegally after expiry of their visas. They are taken into custody.
Police also seize 30 two-wheelers without valid documents.
Nine gas cylinders allegedly used for illegal refilling three large and six small are confiscated.
Officials further seize 53 liquor bottles of 180 ml and 90 ml stored in violation of norms.
Police state that such checks will continue as part of efforts to maintain law and order in the city. They add that strict action will be taken against those involved in illegal activities.
