Accused suspected victim of ‘black magic’
According to investigators, A-1 Shaik Ghouse (also spelt Goush) suspected that Singh was performing black magic against his family, causing financial losses in his fish business and spreading rumours about his wife. Police said Ghouse allegedly conspired with A-2 Syed Shoaib described as his son-in-law in the note—to eliminate the victim.
A-2 allegedly called Singh on December 1 and lured him to Boost Hotel Lane, Chilkalguda. When Singh arrived, A-1 allegedly hit him on the head with an iron rod.

Police said the accused transported the injured man in A-2’s Mahindra Xylo (TS07 UE 3424) to Yerrakunta Katta, Tarnaka, where A-1 allegedly slit his throat with a knife. After confirming death, the accused dumped the body outside the vehicle and fled. The weapons were later concealed near their residence.
