Narayanaguda police crack Rs 3 crore burglary case in 24 hours, arrest three

They had previously been involved in a murder for gain case in January 2024, where they killed an elderly woman and stole Rs 1 crore. The police recovered a significant portion of the stolen loot, including diamond jewelry, gold jewelry, and cash, from the suspects. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are still searching for the remaining stolen items from both the recent heist and the 2024 murder case.
Hyderabad Police Crack ₹3 Crore Burglary Case In 24 Hours

Narayanguda: As the Kedia family celebrated a joyous wedding in Dubai, a gang of seasoned criminals struck their Hyderabad home under Narayanguda police station limits, making off with a staggering Rs 3 crore worth of gold, diamonds, and cash. But their escape was short-lived. Hyderabad police cracked the case within just 24 hours arresting the accused at Nampally Railway Station moments before they could flee.

The accused were identified as Molhu Mukhiya alias Manoj Mukhiya, Susheel Mukhiya, and Basanthi Arhi. All of them hail from Bihar.

Bihar-based criminals busted in Hyderabad’s high-profile heist

Based on the complaint from Abhay Kedia, who is an employee of Rohit Kedia, Narayanguda police of Hyderabadbooked a case and started investigation. While Rohit Kedia and his family were in Dubai for his daughter’s wedding, “In his absence, on 10/11, February,2025 unknown offenders entered the house, ransacked the Almirahs, Lockers and stolen Diamond, Gold, Silver, Net cash of about 20 lakhs Indian currency and foreign currency worth about 2 Crores,” said complainant.

The complaint added that the exact lost property will be furnished after Rohit Kedia’s arrival and suspected Susheel, a cook at Rohit Kedia’s house.

Based on the clues, police swung into action and located the suspect. Special teams were formed consisting of U. Chandrashekar SHO Narayanguda, DSI, crime staff and another team of Nagarjuna Inspector East zone Task force and his team played a vital role by analysing the the CCTV cameras in surrounding areas.

On Thursday at 10:30 AM, three offenders were apprehended near Nampally Railway Station who were about to escape from Hyderabad railway station to Delhi by train using technology.

The investigation revealed that the accused involved in the murder for gain case in January 2024 at Domalguda police station, killing an aged woman, with associates Mahesh and Rahul, and stealing worth 1 crore.

Modus Operandi

The offenders target the houses of wealthy Marwadi/Jain community members, posing as maid servants, cooks, and security guards. After gaining the owner’s trust, they plan and execute thefts, and kill owners if they resist, escaping with the loot to their native villages in Bihar.

The prime accused, Molhu Mukhiya alias Manoj Mukhiya, was involved in property offences in Delhi, went to jail, and NBWs are pending against him.

Gold, diamonds, foreign currency recovered

Narayanguda Police and East Zone Task Force Team in a joint operation arrested three notorious criminals hailing from Bihar.

The offenders were interrogated and recovered the stolen booty from their possession, including diamond jewelry around710 carats, gold jewellery around 1.420 kg, cash Rs 19,63,780, and foreign currency from 24 countries. Stolen property worth Rs 1 crore is yet to be recovered in the Domalguda case.The current value of the recovered property is about 3 crores.
