Hyderabad police redraw zones, divisions and stations
HYDERABAD:Â The Hyderabad Police Commissionerate reorganisation has been completed, with senior officials releasing the final list on Thursday after minor changes to the initial draft.
Under the revised structure, the city will have seven zones, 24 divisions and 73 police stations. Market police station, which earlier fell under North Zone, will continue in the Secunderabad Zone.
With the latest changes, Charminar Zone has become the largest with 15 police stations, while Shamshabad Zone is now the smallest with five police stations.
Charminar Zone becomes largest
The Charminar Zone will have five divisions Charminar, Malakpet, Mirchowk, Saidabad and Santosh Nagar.
The police stations under this zone are Charminar, Hussaini Alam, Moghalpura, Shalibanda, Malakpet, Chaderghat, Dabeerpura, Mirchowk, Bhavani Nagar, Rein Bazaar, Madannapet, Saidabad, Santosh Nagar, IS Sadan and Chatrinaka, totalling 15 police stations.
Golconda and Jubilee Hills Zones
The Golconda Zone will have four divisions Asif Nagar, Goshamahal, Kulsum Pura and Tolichowki.
The police stations under this zone are Asif Nagar, Mehdipatnam, Habib Nagar, Masab Tank, Begum Bazaar, Afzalgunj, Goshamahal, Mangalhat, Gudimalkapur, Kulsum Pura, Tappachabutra, Golconda, Tolichowki and Langer Houz, making 14 police stations.
The Jubilee Hills Zone will have three divisions Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills and SR Nagar.
The police stations under this zone are Madhura Nagar, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Film Nagar, SR Nagar, Borabanda and Sanath Nagar, totalling seven police stations.
Khairatabad and Rajendranagar Zones
The Khairatabad Zone will consist of four divisions Abids, Panjagutta, Saifabad and Sultan Bazaar.
The police stations under this zone are Nampally, Abids, Khairatabad, Panjagutta, Lake, Saifabad, Narayanguda and Sultan Bazaar, totalling eight police stations.
The Rajendranagar Zone will have three divisions Chandrayangutta, Falaknuma and Rajendranagar.
The police stations under this zone are Chandrayangutta, Falaknuma, Bandlaguda, Kanchanbagh, Kamatipura, Bahadurpura, Kalapathar, Mailardevpally, Attapur and Rajendranagar, making 10 police stations.
Secunderabad and Shamshabad Zones
The Secunderabad Zone will have five divisions Chikkadpally, Chilkalguda, Gandhinagar, Mahankali and Osmania University.
The police stations under this zone are Chikkadpally, Musheerabad, Kachiguda, Lalaguda, Chilkalguda, Warasiguda, Domalguda, Gandhinagar, Ramgopalpet, Mahankali, Market, Amberpet, Osmania University and Nallakunta, totalling 14 police stations.
The Shamshabad Zone, the smallest, will have two divisions Adibatla and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
The police stations under this zone are Adibatla, Balapur, Badangpet, Pahadishareef and RGIA, totalling five police stations.
