Sajjanar oversees midnight checks as Hyderabad tightens summit security

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad police commissioner V C Sajjanar oversaw intensified night-time checks across the city as part of security preparations for the upcoming Global Summit. Moving between the field and the control room, he monitored teams deployed for frisking and vehicle inspections at several busy junctions.
Late-night surveillance across multiple zones
Police units were stationed at arterial roads and high-movement corridors, where personnel conducted systematic vehicle checks. Officials said the commissioner’s field visits helped maintain coordination among teams positioned across various zones.
Focus on seamless coordination
In the control room, Sajjanar reviewed live updates from patrolling units and directed officers to tighten response mechanisms. Senior officials said the oversight ensured “real-time supervision” of deployment patterns and traffic movement as the city prepares to host international delegates.
