Hyderabad police book K T Rama Rao, Harish Rao

HYDERABAD: Saifabad police have registered cases against BRS working president K T Rama Rao, MLAs T Harish Rao, Sudheer Reddy and others over alleged misbehaviour with police personnel and use of abusive language during a confrontation outside the Telangana Assembly on Monday.
The cases were registered following a standoff after BRS legislators were stopped from entering the Assembly premises while wearing black T-shirts during a protest against the Congress government.
Police registered the cases based on video footage of the incident, which allegedly showed the legislators arguing with police personnel and behaving in an unruly manner. The police are examining the footage and other evidence as part of the investigation.
Further action will be taken based on the findings of the inquiry, officials said.
The BRS, meanwhile, has alleged that police used force against its legislators during the confrontation.
