Hyderabad police arrests two women thieves targeting devotees visiting temples

Secunderabad: Two lady thieves who are targeting the devotees who are visiting the temples to offer Bonalau were arrested by the North zone task force of Hyderabad commissionerate. The accused were involved in Five theft cases in Hyderabad city. The police have recovered Six mobiles including Iphone 14 plus mobile from their possession.
The accused were identified as Orsu Sony and Vemla Sirisha. Based on credible information, the sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone Team, Hyderabad City, along with Mahankali Police, apprehended Ordinary Theft Woman Offenders.
ACcording to the police, Both Orsu Sony and Vemula Shirisha select places where there are large gatherings of public like Bonalu, Ganesh Nimajjan or any other festivals which are famous in Hyderabad for committing theft of mobile phones, women hand bags/purse from public.
“They mingle with the public in those gatherings and steal valuables from the people. According to their plan they came to Ujjaini MahankaliTemple where the public were celebrating Festival and committed theft of bags and mobiles from the public. When verified by the CC Cameras it was identified that both V.Sirisha and O.Sony lifted the bag, mobiles and sped away from the spot” said Y.V.S Sudheendra Deputy commissioner of police, Task force, Hyderabad commissionerate.
On Friday after thorough tracking, their house was identified. On checking their house it was found that several other mobiles were kept in their house for selling to innocent people and to gain money. All mobiles were seized and registered in Mahankali, S.R.Nagar and Sanathgar Limits, saud Hyderabad police in an official statement.
The apprehension was carried out by K.Saidulu, Inspector of Police, SIs B. Ashok Reddy, Srinivasulu Dasu, P. Gnanadeep of the North Zone Task Force along with team.
