Hyderabad Police Arrest Interstate Chain Snatching Accused

HYDERABAD: A most-wanted interstate chain snatching accused, allegedly involved in more than 180 offences across the Telugu states, was arrested on Tuesday by a special team of the Hyderabad City Central Crime Station (CCS) and Saifabad police.
According to police, Mohammed Faizal Shah Ali Jabri, a resident of Muradnagar in Asifnagar, Hyderabad, had been involved in a series of gold chain thefts since 2023 in various police station limits under the Hyderabad Commissionerate.
Police tracked accused across two states
Police said the accused later shifted his base to Rayachoti in Andhra Pradesh and allegedly continued chain snatching offences there.
He is wanted in multiple cases and has 14 non-bailable warrants pending against him.
Special teams conducted operation
The arrest was made under the guidance of CCS (Detective Department) Deputy Commissioner of Police Chaitanya Kumar. Special teams tracked and apprehended the accused after sustained efforts, police said.
