Hyderabad police arrest house-breaking gang, seize gold and silver worth ₹12 lakh

Hyderabad City Police arrested three habitual house-breaking offenders

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad City Police arrested three habitual house-breaking offenders and a receiver of stolen property during a joint operation by the Commissioner’s Task Force and local police. Officers recovered stolen property worth ₹12 lakh.

The Jubilee Hills Zone Team of the Commissioner’s Task Force carried out the operation with support from local police.

Police identified the main accused as Derangula Hari Babu, alias Nani. According to investigators, he came out of jail in June 2026. Soon after his release, he allegedly reunited with his associates and resumed house-breaking and thefts.

Accused linked to 11 theft cases

Police said the four accused were involved in 11 recent cases registered at Gowraram, Sangareddy Town, Pocharam IT Corridor, Nagole, Kushaiguda, Medipally, Vanasthalipuram and Suraram police stations.

During the operation, officers seized 80 grams of gold ornaments, 258 grams of silver ornaments, four mobile phones, two motorcycles and house-breaking tools. Police estimated the total value of the recovered property at ₹12 lakh.

Joint operation by Task Force and local police

Inspector Ch. Yadender of the West Zone Task Force and Sub-Inspector D. Ravi Raj of the Jubilee Hills Zone Task Force led the operation with their respective teams.
