Hyderabad : The Hyderabad City Police, along with the HFAST (Hyderabad Food Safety Task Force) team, arrested three persons for manufacturing and selling adulterated mixture and Osmania biscuits in Mailardevpally.

Police said the accused were operating an unauthorised food production unit and supplying the products to local markets. The items were allegedly prepared under unhygienic conditions and without adherence to food safety norms.

Acting on specific information, officials conducted a raid at the unit and found large quantities of adulterated mixture and biscuits ready for distribution. Raw materials and equipment used in the preparation were also seized.

Officials said the total value of the seized food products is ₹3.35 lakh. Samples have been sent for laboratory analysis to determine the extent of adulteration.

Police have booked the accused under relevant sections of the Food Safety and Standards Act. They are being questioned to identify the supply network and distribution channels.

Further investigation is underway.
