Hyderabad police advise public to skip Numaish today

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad police on Saturday advised the public not to visit the Numaish at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds following a major fire incident in the Nampally area that led to severe traffic congestion.
Fire incident triggers traffic congestion across central Hyderabad
Although firefighters have brought the blaze under control, rescue operations are still underway. The incident caused heavy traffic snarls in and around Nampally, Abids and Mozamjahi Market, with vehicles stranded for long stretches.

In a statement, Hyderabad Police said the traffic situation remains critical, especially since Saturday typically sees high footfall at the Numaish held at Nampally Exhibition Grounds.
Advisory issued for Nampally, Abids and Gandhi Bhavan areas
Police said traffic congestion has been reported across Nampally, Abids and Gandhi Bhavan areas. They warned that visitors attempting to reach the exhibition today are likely to get stuck in traffic and advised them to plan their visit on another day.
The advisory was issued in the interest of public safety and smoother traffic management until the situation normalises.
