Hyderabad police advise Allu Arjun against visiting Sritej at KIMS hospital

Hyderabad: Amid reports that the Telugu actor Allu Arjun is visiting the nine-year-old Sritej, who is undergoing treatment at KIMS hospital after he sustained injuries in the Sandhya Theater incident, the Hyderabad police have asked him to “reconsider his visit.”
Ramgopalpet police officials have delivered the notice to the actor’s manager Murthy at the former’s residence in Hyderabad on Sunday. It is pertinent to mention that the actor has so far avoided visiting the injured child citing the advice of his legal team amid ongoing investigations in the stampede incident during the premiere show of his “Pushpa 2: The Rule” at Sandhya Theatre on December 4, 2024.
The notice mentioned that his visit will disrupt hospital operations and cause inconvenience to other patients owing to the “heightened public interest in this matter”. It further noted that if he still intends to visit the hospital, he should coordinate with the Ramgopalpet police and hospital administration so they can plan his “entry and exit” to the hospital so it does not cause trouble to the patients and general public.
Earlier, the actor’s father Allu Aravind and other Tollywood personalities have paid their visit to Sritej at the hospital. Later speaking to media persons, Aravind said that his son Allu Arjun wanted to visit the hospital soon after the incident, however, our legal team advised against it. He added that the hospital administration also wanted to avoid chaos and mad rush of fans due to the actor’s visit.
A day after submitting the sureties at the Metropolitan Criminal Court at Nampally, the Pushpa actor was snapped at Ramgopalpet police on Sunday morning. According to the bail condition, the actor was asked by the Telangana High Court to mark his presence at the police station.
The actor has been granted a regular bail after the high court observed that this was not a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder. However, the quash petition is still pending before the Telangana High Court. The matter will come up for next hearing on January 25.
