Hyderabad Petrol Price Nears ₹112 After Fresh Hike

Hyderabad fuel prices

HYDERABAD: The Centre has dealt another blow to vehicle owners as oil companies increased petrol and diesel prices again across the country. Fuel prices have gone up by nearly 90 paise per litre, marking the second hike within a week.

The increase comes amid pressure on global crude oil supplies due to the West Asia crisis. Rising international crude prices have added to the financial burden on public sector oil companies.

Four days ago, petrol and diesel prices were increased by ₹3 per litre each. The Centre had also temporarily suspended excise duty collection on petrol and diesel to control prices. Despite that, fuel rates have gone up again.

With the latest revision, petrol price in Hyderabad rose to ₹111.88 per litre, while diesel touched ₹99.95 per litre.
