Ameerpet, Tolichowki Passport Seva Kendras relocated

HYDERABAD: The authorities have shifted two Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) in Hyderabad—Ameerpet and Tolichowki—to new premises, and they will start operations from September 16. The officials have relocated the Ameerpet PSK, which was earlier located at Aditya Trade Centre, to MGBS Metro station. The team has moved the Tolichowki PSK, which was functioning at Anand Silicon Chip near Shaikpet Nala, to Siri Building on Old Mumbai Road, Raidurg.
The Ministry of External Affairs set up three PSKs—Begumpet, Ameerpet and Tolichowki—in Hyderabad in November 2011. The authorities aim the relocation of Ameerpet and Tolichowki units at easing access for thousands of applicants. On Sunday, Regional Passport Officer (RPO) Hyderabad J Snehaja visited the MGBS Metro station PSK along with senior officials to review facilities.
“A senior RPO official said that they have put all arrangements in place to commence passport services from the new PSKs at MGBS Metro and Raidurg from September 16.” According to officials, both centres have upgraded infrastructure to handle higher footfall, provide better amenities, and cut waiting time for applicants.
