Pakistani National Deported From Hyderabad After Jail Term

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad City Police, in coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of External Affairs, deported a Pakistani national through the Attari border in Punjab on September 9, 2025. The deportee, identified as Muhammad Usman alias Md Abbas Ikram, 48, had illegally entered India from Nepal in 2011. He was involved in four criminal cases in Hyderabad and sentenced to prison terms ranging from one month to five years.

After completing his legal proceedings, Usman was lodged at the Detention Centre, Central Crime Station (CCS), Hyderabad, on September 7, 2024. Following due process, he was handed over to Pakistan Rangers at Attari on September 9.

Detention Centre background

The Detention Centre at CCS was set up on August 29, 2018. Since then, it has housed 158 detainees from 19 countries, of whom 150 have been deported. On August 12, 2025, authorities deported 20 Bangladeshi nationals involved in illegal stay and human trafficking through the Indo-Bangladesh border.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner confirmed the action in an official release.
