CV Anand clinches men’s 55+ singles title at Hyderabad Open Tennis Tournamen

HYDERABAD: CV Anand won the men’s singles title in the 55 years and above category of the Hyderabad Open tennis tournament at the Jubilee Hills International Centre on Friday.
Anand defeated Goa’s Neelkant Dambre 6-2, 6-3 in the final to clinch the title.
Radesh smashes ton on day two
Rahul Radesh cracked an unbeaten 141 (225b, 21×4, 1×6) on the second day of the Col. CK Nayudu Trophy cricket championship match on Saturday.
Hyderabad posted 384 in 122.1 overs. Nitin Sai Yadav made 32. For Bengal, Prabhat Maurya and Rohit claimed three wickets each, conceding 45 and 41 runs respectively.
In reply, Bengal were 177/4 in 57 overs. Ayush Kumar scored 50, Chandrahas Dash made 47 and Shashank Singh was batting on 58 at stumps.
Trisha shines despite Hyderabad loss
G Trisha scored an unbeaten 102 (137b, 13×4, 2×6) in the BCCI Senior Women’s One-day Cricket Championship fifth-round match in Ranchi on Saturday.
Hyderabad, however, lost to Delhi by eight wickets.
Hyderabad made 203/8 in 50 overs. Nazma took 3/28.
Delhi chased down the target, scoring 204/2 in 43.5 overs. Pragya Rawat remained unbeaten on 104, while Tanisha Singh contributed 45.
Karimnagar lift U-19 inter-district title
In the inter-district under-19 one-day tournament final, Karimnagar scored 260 in 39.5 overs against Medak.
Thakshil Erroju top-scored with 145 and later claimed 3/34. B Hishanth took 4/51.
Medak were bowled out for 154 in 23.5 overs. K Vignesh made 36, while Syyed Ahmed Aqdaam took 3/17 as Karimnagar sealed the title.
BHEL outplay FCI in D-Division league
In the D-Division Institution one-day league, BHEL scored 211 in 29.1 overs. R Nagaraju made 55 and G Balaji 42. G Sukumar took 4/48.
FCI were bowled out for 157 in 24 overs despite D Venkatesh Sagar’s 31 and Kundan Kumar’s unbeaten 34.
In another match, NFC scored 158/8 in 25 overs, with C Siva Krishna (33) and K Manikiran (35) contributing. Kasireddi Prasad took 3/15.
CCMB chased down the target with 159/5 in 24.4 overs. Raheem made 61 and Kasireddi Prasad scored 37. K Manikiran claimed 3/33.
TGSRTC posted 191/3 in 25 overs. V Sai Kiran scored 68, D Anil Kumar remained unbeaten on 48 and Nagaraju made 38 not out. IICT replied with 189/8. L Hari Krishna scored 33 and Phani Kumar took 3/31 as TGSRTC won the match.
HAL scored 141/5 in 20 overs. Soumalya Bhattacharjee made 45 and K Rajender Babu was unbeaten on 44. Midhani were restricted to 116/10 in 20 overs, with L Ganga Nayak taking 4/10.
HMWS&SB scored 181/6 in 20 overs. Ankit Bhatnagar made 78 and S Mahesh Singh 37. National Insurance managed 95/9 despite Y Nava Bharath’s 4/26.
