Hyderabad MMLP: Detailed feasibility study underway

Hyderabad: Development of Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Hyderabad is in the pipeline, the Union government informed Rajya Sabha. Around 315 acres have been identified for the MMLP.

In response to a query from Telangana Congress MP Mandadi Anil Kumar Yadav, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Jairam Gadkari confirmed that the Detailed Feasibility Study Report (DFSR) for the MMLP Hyderabad is currently in progress.

Yadav sought information regarding the facilities, funds earmarked, allocated and the status of Hyderabad as one of the locations for development as Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in the State of Telangana.

315 acres Identified for Hyderabad’s Multi-Modal Logistics Park

“A 315-acre land parcel has been identified by Telangana State Trade & Promotion Corporation (TSTPC) at Parkibanda Village in Manoharabad mandal, Medak District, Telangana for development of MMLP Hyderabad,” read Gadkari’s reply.

Gadkari detailed the proposed facilities for the Hyderabad MMLP, which will encompass a comprehensive logistics ecosystem. He said the proposed Hyderabad MMLP may contain facilities related to logistics services like cargo aggregation and disaggregation, rail terminal, intermodal shift from road to railways and vice versa, warehousing, value-added services, and others, along with associated facilities like truck parking and commercial area.

To the question regarding the details of funds earmarked and allocated for MMLP, Gadkari informed that the work of preparation of Detailed Feasibility Study Report (DFSR) for development of MMLP Hyderabad is in progress and based on the outcome of DFSR and financial viability, further action for award of work and allocation of funds would follow.
