Hydraa Use Drones Over Musi River In Search Of Missing Youth

HYDERABAD: Search operations are continuing for three persons who were swept away in open drains in Hyderabad on Sunday. Hydraa Disaster Response Force teams have been combing the drains and surrounding floodwater catchpits in Musheerabad’s Vinoba Nagar and other affected areas for three days, but without success.

On Tuesday, officials deployed drones to scan stretches of the Musi river. Despite the effort, no breakthrough was achieved.

During the operation, the two-wheeler of Dinesh alias Sunny, who went missing in the Vinoba Nagar drain, was recovered about 150 metres from the spot of the accident. Hydraa personnel opened every catchpit along the underground drainage line between the accident site and recovery point, but Dinesh’s whereabouts remain unknown.

Similarly, the families of Arjun and Ramulu, who were swept away in the Afzal Sagar nala at Asifnagar, are still awaiting news.

Additional director Varla Papayya said, “Even at high risk, our personnel searched inside the underground drainage lines. We also extended the operation into the Musi with drones, but results have been disappointing.”

The search operation is being supervised by Hydraa officials Jayaprakash, Gautam and Yajnarayan. Families of the missing men are reported to be in deep distress.
