Hyderabad sees relief as minimum temperatures rise

HYDERABAD: There was relief from the cold wave across Hyderabad and several districts on Friday as minimum temperatures increased across Telangana.
Only three locations record single-digit temperatures
According to the Telangana Development Planning Society, only three places in the State reported single-digit temperatures, compared with 10 on Thursday. Kumuram Bheem–Asifabad district recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 8.7°C, up from 8.0°C the previous day. Adilabad and Sangareddy reported 9.1°C and 9.9°C respectively.
Serilingampally coldest in Hyderabad
Within the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits, Serilingampally recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 11.6°C. Ramachandrapuram and Patancheru reported 13.5°C, while Chandanagar logged 13.7°C.
Temperatures to rise further; rains likely in some districts
Minimum temperatures are likely to increase by 2–3°C across Telangana over the next two to three days, the Telangana Development Planning Society said.
The India Meteorological Department forecast rainfall over Jogulamba–Gadwal, Mahabubnagar and Suryapet districts on Saturday due to a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. Hyderabad may experience moderate to heavy rainfall around November 29 and 30 because of another depression over the Bay.
