Metro extension to Medchal demanded as citizens stage march in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD: Members of the Metro Sadhana Samiti staged a march in Hyderabad on Sunday. They demanded the extension of the Hyderabad Metro Rail network to Medchal.
Carrying placards and raising slogans, the protesters urged the Telangana government to speed up the long-pending Metro project. They said the extension would help thousands of people who travel daily between Hyderabad and Medchal.

The protesters said the Metro extension is needed to improve public transport in the northern suburbs. They said it would make daily travel easier and reduce traffic congestion. They also urged the government to give priority to the project and begin work without further delay.
