Hyderabad Mayor monitors care of dog-bite victim

HYDERABAD: Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi and Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Shobhan Reddy visited Niloufer Hospital on Thursday to assess the treatment being provided to Prem Chand, a young boy injured in a dog-bite incident. The Mayor was accompanied by the Chief Medical Officer Padmaja and veterinary officials.
Doctors told to ensure best medical care
The Mayor and Deputy Mayor met the resident medical officer and the hospital superintendent, directing them to extend the highest level of medical care without compromise. Doctors informed the elected representatives that the child was responding well to treatment.
Parents asked to follow medical advice
Vijayalakshmi advised the child’s parents to follow doctors’ instructions and keep the boy in hospital until he fully recovers. She added that the Chief Minister was being updated regularly on the child’s health condition.
The Mayor said the government would support the child in every possible way.
