Man serves spiked juice in Chanchalguda, several fall unconscious

HYDERABAD: A peculiar incident occurred in Chanchalguda under Dabirpura police station limits in the Old City on Monday.
A youth went around distributing juice to people on the streets, saying he was celebrating the completion of his Quran recitation. He offered juice to shopkeepers and residents in the area.
Some accepted it without hesitation, while others declined. Those who drank the juice reportedly slipped into a deep sleep and woke up nearly 12 hours later in a state of confusion.
Police said all the victims are currently stable. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
Police examine CCTV footage to trace suspect
Officers are verifying CCTV footage to identify and locate the youth. They are probing why he distributed the juice and where he came from.
