Public Advisory:

Never respond to emails, embedded links in messages, or calls requesting updates or verification of KYC documents, user ID, password, debit card number, PIN, CVV, or OTP. If you accidentally disclose your credentials, immediately change your passwords, CVV, and PIN.

Fraudsters employ fraudulent phone numbers, text messages, voice-altering software, and social engineering tactics to deceive users into revealing sensitive information. These scammers often attempt to elicit personal and financial details through phishing calls, claiming your account has been compromised or KYC is pending.

Remember, legitimate banks, financial institutions, the RBI, and other authentic entities will never ask for confidential information such as usernames, passwords, or credit card details.

Under no circumstances should you share these confidential details with anyone, including family and friends. Phishing calls often induce fear, making people more likely to divulge sensitive information. If you have genuine concerns about the safety of your accounts, visit your bank or financial institution in person.

If you become a victim of cyber financial fraud, you are advised to report it immediately by dialing the Cyber Crime Helpline number 1930 or visiting Cybercrime.gov.in. In case of any emergency involving cyber fraud, reach out to WhatsApp at 8712665171.
