Hyderabad man hides 2 previous marriages from wife, held
Hyderabad: A 33-year-old man was arrested in Hyderabad for cheating a woman by hiding his previous marriages. The case was filed at the Jawaharnagar police station in the city.
According to police, Lakshman Rao, a Rapido driver from Gabbilalapet in Ambedkarnagar, married a relative in 2014. However, the couple separated due to matrimonial differences. In 2018, Lakshman developed a relationship with Leelavathi (25) from Balajinagar and they got married in 2021 in Medak. The couple has a son.
Soon after, Lakshman deserted his wife Leelavathi and disappeared. Anxious Leelavathi started searching for her missing husband and found that he was living in Malkajgiri. To her shock, she discovered that Lakshman had married another woman, Shabari, without her knowledge and was living with her in the locality happily.
Leelavathi grew suspicious about Lakshman’s character and soon uncovered that he had married another woman before her. Armed with evidence, she approached the police and filed a complaint against him. Based on her complaint, the police arrested Lakshman and remanded him to custody. He is now facing charges such as cheating, criminal breach of trust and marrying by hiding previous marriages.
In a separate incident, the LB Nagar police apprehended four persons for carrying drugs. The police team recovered five grams of MDMA from them.
The accused persons have been identified as Ajay, a resident of Jilleguda, Raju of Suryapet, Dasari of Suryapet and Mahender of Karmanghat. As per reports, the police found them moving in a suspicious manner while they were conducting a vehicle check. They found them in possession of the drugs.
