Madhapur police bust fake certificate racket, three held

HYDERABAD: The Madhapur Special Operations Team on Saturday busted a gang allegedly producing fake certificates at a Xerox centre in Indira Nagar, Gachibowli, and arrested three men.
Xerox centre used as illegal unit
Police said Mohammad, Sajid and Rajeev were running a Xerox shop and had converted it into a base for manufacturing forged documents. Officers seized a large quantity of fake certificates and printing material from the premises.
Wide range of forged documents found
The gang was producing police verification certificates, fake waybills, bogus experience letters, mark memos of various educational institutions and fake PAN cards, according to officials.
Nine beneficiaries detained for inquiry
Police detained nine people who allegedly obtained documents from the accused. They are being questioned to determine the extent of the racket.
ACP Sridhar urged the public to remain alert to fake certificates and avoid illegal means for securing employment or verification documents.
