Hyderabad: STF seizes ₹4.5 lakh worth of ganja
HYDERABAD: The Special Task Force (STF) B Team seized 8.928 kg of ganja, estimated to be worth ₹4.50 lakh, in the LB Nagar area.
Acting on information that ganja was being sold in the Vasavi Ananda Nilayam area, STF B Team Circle Inspector Bhiksha Reddy, Sub-Inspector Balaraju and their staff conducted checks.
The team seized 8.928 kg of ganja during the operation and arrested two people, Gangamadhukami and Munnikadiyam.
According to Bhiksha Reddy, the accused told police that they had brought the ganja from Odisha to hand it over to Vijay Kurivi alias Roshan. A case was also registered against Roshan, the CI said.
The arrested accused and the seized ganja were handed over to the Saroornagar Excise Station, Bhiksha Reddy said.
