Hyderabad–Kollam special train services extended till September 2026 amid high passenger demand

HYDERABAD: Southern Railway has extended the Hyderabad–Kollam Express Special service till September 2026, bringing relief to passengers travelling between Telangana and Kerala through Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
The extension follows strong passenger demand on the route, especially during peak travel seasons. As a result, the Railways will operate 13 additional trips in each direction. The move is expected to ease congestion and improve ticket availability.
13 additional trips in each direction
Under the revised schedule, Train No. 07193 (Hyderabad–Kollam Special) will run every Saturday from July 4 to September 26, 2026.
Similarly, the Kollam–Hyderabad Special will operate every Monday from July 6 to September 28, 2026.
Railway officials said the train will continue to run with the same timings and stoppages.
Route covers four states
The special train connects major stations across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Key stops include Hyderabad, Secunderabad Junction, Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Nadikode, Piduguralla, Sattenapalle, Guntur Junction, Tenali Junction, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur Junction, Renigunta Junction, Tirupati, Chittoor, Katpadi Junction, Jolarpettai Junction, Salem Junction, Erode Junction, Tiruppur, Podanur Junction, Palakkad Junction, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Changanasseri, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara, Kayankulam Junction, Karunagappalli, Sasthankotta and Kollam Junction.
Reservations to open shortly
Southern Railway will open reservations for the extended services shortly.
Passengers can book tickets through the railway reservation system once bookings begin. Furthermore, the extension will strengthen rail connectivity between the four states. It will also offer greater travel flexibility to passengers across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
