Flames erupted at Sumit Timber Depot and BD Plywood warehouses and spread rapidly, triggering panic in the industrial area.
Firefighters battle blaze for hours
Firefighting teams, led by ACP Srinivas, rushed to the spot with two fire engines. Personnel worked for several hours before bringing the blaze under control.
Officials estimated property loss at around ₹1 crore.
No casualties reported
No casualties were reported in the incident, bringing relief to workers and residents in the area. Police registered a case and started an inquiry.
