Hyderabad Task Force cracks down on illegal bakery; unhygienic goods worth ₹12.5 lakh seized

Illegal bakery unit raid in KD Colony Hyderabad with seized goods and machinery

HYDERABAD: The Commissioner’s Task Force, Golconda Zone, along with Gudimalkapur police station personnel, raided an illegal bakery unit operating in KD Colony and arrested one person for running it without a valid licence.

The accused was identified as Ahmed Raza, 46, son of Mohd Raza and a resident of KD Colony. Police said he was manufacturing bakery products under unhygienic conditions.

Authorities seized large quantities of raw materials, finished items including biscuits, buns and rusk, as well as machinery used in production. The total value of the seized property was estimated at ₹12,54,280.

Products supplied to local shops, cafes and hotels

According to officials, the accused had been supplying the products to local shops, cafés and hotels in the city.

Police said the products posed a serious risk to public health as they were prepared in unsafe and unhygienic conditions. Further investigation is under way.
