Hydraa Clears Illegal Plots In Hasthinapuram, Chandanagar And Across Hyderabad Localities

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) on Tuesday removed several encroachments in different parts of the city following public complaints. Acting on directions from Commissioner A V Ranganath, officials carried out inspections with local authorities before initiating the clearance drives.

Hasthinapuram park freed from illegal occupation

In Hasthinapuram North Extension Colony, Karmanghat village, Saroornagar mandal, Ranga Reddy district, a 1.27-acre park site shown in the original layout had allegedly been sold as residential plots. After verifying the complaint from the colony association, HYDRAA officials cleared the encroachments, fenced the site, and installed boards marking it as a protected park.

Public utility land restored in Chandanagar Circle

In another operation under the Serilingampally zone, officials reclaimed a 500-square-yard public utility plot in Gangaram Colony, Chandanagar Circle. The land was part of a 1974 layout developed by the Social Welfare Department under the name Subhashnagar, where 700 square yards were earmarked for community use. Residents alleged that a private individual had converted the land into residential plots. Following their complaint, HYDRAA officials removed the encroachments and fenced the property to prevent further occupation.
